Chris Ison is a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter an a visiting associate professor at the University of Minnesota School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Ison worked at the Minneapolis Star Tribune newspaper for 18 years as a beat reporter, investigative projects reporter and assistant managing editor for investigative projects. He won a Pulitzer Prize for investigative reporting in 1990, and has won numerous other national, regional and state awards. He was a reporter at the Duluth News Tribune for three years, covering police and courts, city hall and the Minnesota Legislature. A 1983 graduate of the University of Minnesota, he was the managing editor and later, editor-in-chief, at the Minnesota Daily student newspaper. Ison has taught public affairs reporting, news reporting and writing, advanced reporting methods and media ethics, among other courses. |
