The 2017 World Press Institute Fellowship selections have been announced. Applications for the 2018 program will be accepted starting in December 2017.
The 2017 fellows will spend nine weeks in the United States beginning in mid-August examining the free press and media innovations and learning about America's social and cultural diversity. The fellows will travel around the U.S. meeting with journalists, political, business and community leaders and policy experts.
University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, acts as home for the fellows while they are in the Twin Cities. St. Thomas provides use of its faculty housing and conference facilities and offers the assistance of its Communication and Journalism Department.
