In Minnesota, Donald Trump May Sound Like Jesse Ventura

Minnesota has had its own Donald Trump-style candidate. Jesse Ventura, a Vietnam veteran, former wrestler, former radio talk show host and former actor, was elected governor in the 1998. Like Trump, Ventura was a non-traditional candidate, more an entertainment figure than a politician.

The change in the debate about foreign policy in Presidential campaigns in the U.S. represented by the proposals of G.O.P.’s candidate, Donald J. Trump, is the main point of an interview with Dr. Renee Buhr, associate professor of Political Science and International Relations at the University of St. Thomas. Trump Breaks the Foreign-policy Consensus

Since the beginning of his campaign to be the G.O.P.’s candidate in the Presidential election, Donald J. Trump has already suggested to build a wall along the border to Mexico, to increase imports tax, stated that he would fight ISIS and that the U.S. should not defend its N.A.T.O. allies in case of an attack. In the view of Dr. Renee Buhr, associate professor of Political Science and International Relations at the University of St. Thomas, Trump’s proposals represent a change in the debate about foreign policy in Presidential campaigns.

The world beyond the US borders

The first spot that the visitors of the Newseum in Washington will find nowadays is a picture and a brief text that aims to honor James Foley’s memory, a freelance American journalist that ISIS claimed to behead this week. Judge Tunheim

 

Interview in Pressa daily (national bulgarian newspaper) with John Tunheim, district judge for Minnesota. From 1994-1998 he was appointed by president Clinton to serve as a chair of the U.S. Assassination Records Review Board in charge of declassifying governments records of the Kennedy assassination.
